Farm to Table(aux) Will Continue Virtually
Featuring Celebrity Chef Alex Hitz
Originally scheduled for March 19, The Columbus Museum’s annual fundraiser Farm to Table(aux) was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
We hope that you will continue to be a part of our annual fundraiser that begins on Thursday, September 17 from 6:30-7:30 PM through a live broadcast hosted via our Facebook page.
Celebrity Chef Alex Hitz will still cater the meal with his signature elegant, warm-but-never-stuffy, genteel Southern cuisine, is an author and columnist, a frequent guest on national programs such as TODAY, The Chew, Access Hollywood and more. Hitz also launched his own gourmet food line in 2009.
However, the meals will be available for pick-up for attendees to enjoy at home with some live entertainment streamed right into your living room – or wherever you tune in. Another beneficial aspect of the virtual format is a longer silent auction, which will span several days leading up to the event.
Over the course of the week, you will have the chance to support the Museum by participating in our silent art auction and live auction filled with trips and experiences, mystere box – a mystery raffle, and learn more about how we are continuing to serve our community, even through this pandemic.
We would like to give a special thank you to our co-chairs; Mrs. Kathelen Amos and Mrs. Eliza Brewer for their thoughtful leadership and guidance in creating a very exciting event. We would also like to thank all of our generous sponsors, patrons and ticket holders for investing in this event, which supports the Museum's mission.
Ready, Set, Bid Online!
The event’s popular Art for Education silent auction, chaired by Billy Kendall, is returning and will feature works by select local and national artists who have either had an exhibition at the Museum and/or work in the permanent collection.
