POSTPONED - Farm to Table(aux): Women Making History
Out of an abundance of caution and with much careful deliberation, we have decided to postpone our annual fundraiser Farm to Table(aux): Women Making History until the fall. This event, which typically attracts around 300 guests, exceeds current recommendations from health officials regarding large public gatherings. We will release more information more details about future plans over the next few days as we discuss the best course of action.
We are deeply disappointed to have to make this decision as our event chairs, committees, and volunteers have been working tirelessly to make Farm to Table(aux) a great event, and we have received tremendous support from our sponsors. However, our chief concern is doing our part to minimize public risk as much as possible.
Overall, the Museum remains a relatively low-risk environment and remains open for visitors. We are taking extra steps to preserve a healthy environment including:
- Scheduled cleaning of frequently-touched surfaces several times a day, such as door handles, handrails, and elevators
- Our Transformations interactive gallery for families is closed daily from 1 to 1:30 p.m. for additional cleaning
- Handwashing reminders and tips in our restrooms
- Wipes are available at the front desk and in Transformations interactive family gallery
