Alma Thomas followed the events of the Space Race in the 1960s and 1970s and painted scenes that captured celestial bodies, the evidence of man’s technological advancement, and the rawness of outer space. Join Scott Norman, Director of Education and resident space historian at Columbus State University’s Coca-Cola Space Science Center, at the Museum as he shares historical background and context for Alma’s space creations.
