David Kimball Anderson: Snow Pictures

March 16 - July 14, 2019

Yarbrough Gallery

The project will unpack the layers of significance of snow for the artist as well as explore metaphorical meanings for this magical form of precipitation. Artist and sculptor David Kimball Anderson was born and raised in Southern California, where seasonal change was not a common occurrence. After a move to Santa Fe. New Mexico in the 1970s, the artist was struck by winter light and a variety of sensations via snow. This exhibition includes small drawings, watercolors, and sculpture dedicated to the subject.

This exhibition is generously sponsored by the W.C. Bradley Company with additional support from Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly. Georgia Council for the Arts also receives support from its partner agency – the National Endowment for the Arts. It is also supported by the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau and Columbus Cultural Arts Alliance.
