Exploring Creativity: 2020 After School Art Virtual Gallery
Created in partnership with The Columbus Museum, this virtual gallery features artwork made by students in the after school programs at Hannan Elementary and Georgetown Elementary in Columbus, GA.
Throughout the school year, an educator from the Museum visits each after school program twice per month to lead hands-on art-making activities inspired by the Museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions. Participating students have the opportunity to experience working in many different mediums and enjoy a creative outlet while finding inspiration in the creativity of others. Special thanks to the Muscogee County School District and Columbus Parks & Recreation for their partnership on this ongoing program.
