Art with the Masters: Tony Pettis

Join us at The Columbus Museum for a night of art and inspiration as local artist Tony Pettis shows us a thing or two on expressionist painting. Tony will share a history of the style and discuss how he came to become an artist, and then guide the class on making their own painting they can take home. There will be light hors d’oeuvres and libations, and the supplies and materials will be provided. No prior skill is required to participate. Seats are limited so be sure to register soon!

Tony Pettis is a Georgia-based Neo-Expressionism artist with roots spreading from the north of New York City throughout the South. Pettis is a published book illustrator, a two-time CSU Allstate Art Symposium District Finalist, and a two-time CSU Allstate Art Symposium State Winner. Tony’s worked on projects with talent such as ESPN, The Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce, The Columbus Museum, Red Hook Studios of NYC and more. Pettis is represented by IBA (International Body of Art) in their online gallery based in the United Kingdom. He currently works for one of the South’s most notable portraiture artists, Dr. Garry Pound, where he resides in Columbus, Georgia. Tony’s most recently appeared in a group exhibition, HART An Art Show, which opened at the AC Hotels by Marriott Columbus on March 12th.
