Accessibility

The Columbus Museum prides itself on being accessible to all visitors. To that end, we strive to provide for all visitor’s needs.

  • The access point for those with mobility impairments is the east entrance of the Museum. Guests can drive under the Porte-cochére (the covered area on the east side of the building) use it as a drop-off and pick-up point.
  • There is an elevator for ease of access to upper and lower levels available for visitor use. The elevator is located behind the galleria cases on the first floor.
  • The Columbus Museum has two handicap accessible bathrooms on the first floor, accessed from the hallway of the Pound South Gallery.
  • Additionally, there are two handicap accessible unisex bathrooms on the third floor located in the A. Henry Nordhausen Gallery.
