Docent Training Sessions

Do you love telling stories, engaging people in conversations, and learning? If you answered yes, we'd love to have you as a Museum Docent! As Museum "ambassadors," Docents are responsible for welcoming visitors of all ages and facilitating conversations and hands-on gallery experiences that foster lasting relationships between objects in the collection and the community. No education or experience in art or local history is required.

After learning about the Museum in a special eight-week training course, we ask that Docents commit to two years of touring. Active Docents enjoy a number of benefits including continuing education on a variety of topics, an annual bus trip, and free Museum membership.
